Good

When we arrived, they made us wait an extra hour after our check in, the first tower rooms were dirty and not pretty but after we complained they gave us new rooms (in the second tower), they were really pretty and everything was new. Wifi it's ok and the staff is really nice.

Room dirty - toilet door not closing - just cold water - and after visit incubation of fleas

We were visiting Maccu Picchu and choose the quilla hostel. For two days.
Check in was chaotic, guys had no idea that we booked (via booking.com more than two weeks ago).
Finally we got the room, the next surprise was the visit on the toilet, the door does not close.
As well the shower, with handles for warm and cold water but there was just cold water available. Ice cold.
The beds were okay but the sheets were too small so in the night you start sleeping on the raw mattress.
In the evening we were asked when we want breakfast, we said around 8.
On morning we came to breakfast at 8 and the personal told us very unfriendly that we are lucky getting bread, and marmalade.
Also on the next day, breakfast normally from 4-8.
We arrived at breakfast at 07:30 wanted to eat something and they started bringing everything in the kitchen, while eating.
But the ultative shock was when we left one of us having flea bites on his legs.
WiFi, let’s not talk about it, a shutter down phone has faster internet connection.
Even if they pay me for staying, NEVER AGAIN

Nope

We booked through a tour agency in Cusco as part of a Machu Picchu package. They had a sign for us at the train station which was nice. Got to the room, which was fine (matrimonial room) but not the best bed or bedding. Surprisingly had hot water for shower. No English spoken by staff, advertised 24hr desk service, but the family that seemed to run the place were asleep on the couches in lobby by 9pm and no one was to be found when trying to check out at 5am. That is early, but that's when people in Aguas Calientes are leaving for Machu Picchu, so they really should have had someone available. Bad wifi, but it is free. Also, the kitchen which is viewable across the courtyard behind the lobby is a poorly lit dirty room. Would absolutely not eat at the restaurant!

Avoid at ALL costs!

Staff is deceivingly friendly, their WIFI is stolen from another hostel near by and the signal is a joke. We spent two nights here and both nights had dinner as well. The first night we paid with a VISA card, and the second tried to use the same card but for some strange reason we were told it wouldn't work and were asked for another card. At the time this did not seem strange but when we returned home we found out that BOTH of the cards we had used there were "cloned" and used in Lima to purchase over $2000 worth of stuff. So then it made perfect sense as to why we were asked for another card. These people will treat you like royalty, but for a sinister reason. I recommend that you sleep in the street before walking into this den of thieves. These people are scum! I must add that we did NOT use either card at any other point during our trip.

Avoid if possible

Ended up here as part of a prebooked tour. Tour was great, but the service here left me with a terrible final taste, as did Aguas Calientes as a whole. A request for clean shower curtains was met with a response to find a different hostel if we weren't happy. When our key was locked in the room while asking for the staff to fix the hot water, it took hours to get it open again. The hostel looks nice enough, but the staff ruined the experience.
