Simple, but everything you need.

Unbeatable for the price. Rooms are not that big, but that's logical for the price. Cleanliness is good for Egypt. Through an alley and you're on the big tourist street.
The inner courtyard feels safe; the balconies face inwards and are therefore always in someone's view. There is someone to talk to at any time of day.
Earplugs are recommended at night because of barking dogs and deliveries to the restaurants at night (there's a lot of shouting). The communal kitchen and seating area are really cozy. The Bedouins were very nice and open. Air conditioning worked very well.

well managed and very good value

This is probably the best value accommodation in Dahab. Selection of rooms - small and basic with shared bathrooms, ensuites, and more spacious ensuites with balconies. There's two bedouin-style social areas offering shade, plus a couple of benches in the sun. There's a rudimentary kitchen with two fridge-freezers, stove and pans etc. with a new one being built as I write - should be ready in the next few weeks. FREE drinking water (huge bonus, especially if you hate to waste plastic) and a washing machine for guests' use. The place is kept clean and is well managed. Staff and owner are friendly and responsible. There's cats in the common areas (but they don't wander into the rooms). Good location in the middle of Dahab, 1 minute walk to the sea. Especially low rates for longer term stays. My room is an en suite twin with balcony. Two single beds (linen and towels provided), a desk, two chairs, mirror, bedside table, wardrobe, bathroom is fine, balcony is a nice place to relax. Wi-fi is decent most of the time. Note: there's I think three guesthouses in Dahab with the name "kangaroo" and/or "oasis". This is the one at the end of the short alleyway opposite Ali Baba restaurant. I know I sound a bit like an advert, but I'm really pleased to have found this place - been here four weeks now, relaxing, reading, writing. Their whatsapp is +201067037433

Low budget, clean and central

It's clean, low budget( help you save your money for mor excursions in Dahab ) and has a central location in the lighthouse area. The owners are friendly. That's all you need in Dahab. Good for backpackers and not for families. There are also rooms with AC. The only disadvantage is that some bathrooms have no doors. Otherwise is ok.

Nice place

I see it's a nice place cheap , simple, nearby sea , no service here but they have a lovely stuff and you can go anywhere you want it's not so far , they have a small kitchen but useful so you can cook by your self and dining in outdoor place they also have wifi internet .

Horrible

Room was not clean, no air conditions, no fridge, no tv, no food, no water ,nothing in a room but a bed and I was okay with this but the thing that I was not okay with is the terrible bathroom I saw people's pee and poof in every place no one clean it and sometimes there is no water inside it. As an advice don't even think to go there.
