Excellent experience at Sofitel
From the moment we arrived, Umut was incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and proactive. He seemed to anticipate our needs before we even had to ask, and whenever something came up, he addressed it immediately and with such warmth and professionalism. His attention to detail made an enormous difference to our stay.
What impressed us even more was how wonderful he was while we were traveling with our children. Balancing a business trip with young children can be challenging, but Umut made us feel completely looked after and at ease. His kindness and understanding were exceptional.
It is rare to encounter someone who combines such professionalism with such genuine care for his guests. Umut truly elevated our experience at the Sofitel Munich, and he is a tremendous asset to the hotel. We are incredibly grateful for everything he did for our family and would absolutely return because of the hospitality he provided.

Excellent Staff and Location, but the Hotel Needs Serious Renovation
Our duplex suite felt extremely dated and was clearly in need of serious renovation and maintenance. There was visible mold in the bathrooms, the beds were in very poor condition and sloped downwards, making them uncomfortable to sleep on, and the air-conditioning filters were noticeably dusty and appeared to require proper cleaning and maintenance.
On the positive side, the staff were excellent—professional, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was superb, with a great selection, and the hotel’s location is extremely convenient.
Unfortunately, the condition of the suite significantly affected our overall experience. For a Sofitel and considering the level of accommodation we booked, we simply expected much better. Despite the excellent staff, breakfast, and location, this is sadly a hotel my family and I would not choose to stay at again.
