Modern rooms and traditional restaurant
We stayed 3 nights over a weekend in April in this very nice small hotel. We had a large room in the new building next to the old hosue with the restaurant. The interior including the bathroom was very modern and worked very well. Very little noise from other guests or from the traffic. Breakfast was traditionally German, fresh and delicious.

Unfortunately too loud
A nice hotel with friendly staff. Unfortunately, our room was so that we could not sleep for hours in the evening/night because the reckless conversation volume of departing restaurant guest groups and employees was unmistakable a few meters outside our window. Completely wheeled we left again.

Trend falling
Unfortunately, the average ratings are acceptable.
As long-time regulars since 2018, we are at the Overkamp several times a month due to our close local proximity.
After we were able to say in 2018 that we had found our new regular restaurant, we have been finding out more and more frequently for about 2-3 years that our gastronomic experiences of origin are being disappointed more and more frequently with this formerly above-average restaurant.
This refers quite explicitly and expressively NOT to the service, which is always courteous towards us as a regular guest and always somehow accommodates even with the fullest cabin without reservation, never appears annoyed, stressed or briefly tied, but precisely to the actual reason of a restaurant visit, namely the food.
The ordered cooking level of the steak is now missed more often than hit. Incidentally, the kitchen manages to do this several times in a row even after complaining about the steak and even if you say when ordering that you would rather take a cooking level too low than too high, so we decided to eat steaks elsewhere.
The schnitzel has never been crusty, but even then the kitchen manages to somehow reduce the quality, so we have found an alternative here in the meantime.
The sauce béarnaise on the side dishes peas is invariably provided with a skin, as it must inevitably arise in warming cabinets.
The goose is getting drier every year and I find it hard to blame it on bird flu.
The goulash soup is rich in inlay (you could say almost too much), but thin in the soup. If you let them run from the spoon back into the plate, you think there is not much missing and you can see through.
To end on a positive note: the bread in front with the spread is exquisite as ever.
But with a regular three-figure amount at the end of the evening then also for us at some point no incentive for a visit anymore.
One would like to shout to the owner family: URGENTLY works on the quality of the kitchen, even when the store is still running. It's too bad about this former highlight of our everyday lives.

Disappointing and significantly overpriced
Overpriced, moderate Service and moderate food.
The sauces are apparently not homemade, but reminiscent of canteen.
The Service also leaves much to be desired in places.
The Wienerschnitzel, for example, was from the deep fryer. Nothing with fluffy breading around the veal. The goose completely overpriced, for what was ultimately offered, here again the sauce was rather conviniece , also the red cabbage from the big bucket.
The pork chop was tough, the side dish (spicy cabbage vegetables) seemingly "accidentally" unseasoned and dry. The pepper steak was just before "shoe sole" and the plate was covered with pepper.
Years ago, people definitely tried a lot harder.
Overall a very disappointing and overpriced evening.
We don't need it again anytime soon.

Poor price quality ratio
We were with friends yesterday at the ABBA event including buffet.
Buffet organization was deficient, we queued about 20 min, queuing past tables and bar. Finally at the buffet, the salads were empty, were not filled up either, then to call a course of 30 euros per person for a bit of salmon and Köttbullar, that is already powerful. That can't be Overkamp's claim. Next time, we'll eat at the restaurant.
The concert was good.
