WE WERE ROBBED IN THIS APARTMENT BY SOMEONE FORCING THE DOOR. Be very careful!! The owner does not answer calls and later does not want to take responsibility for what happened to you. DO NOT GO TO THIS APARTMENT

The provider states the accommodation is non smoking. The room smells like smoke. Leaving the window open for our duration made no difference to the stench. In addition, the fire detector has been disabled by either a previous ‘guest’ or by staff by stuffing paper into the detector. The only and single detector. Reading reviews on booking.com shows this isn’t unique – someone left a review saying their room fire detector had plastic wrapped around it. This place is a fire hazard.
In addition:
The corridor smells like weed every day of the stay.
Fire alarm going off annoyingly during the night, scaring guests who also mentioned the weed smell. Obviously guests are flaunting the rules, annoying others. Only one internal set of stairs to use.
The front entrance door. Although booking.com listing states it has keypad entrance, the keypad has been non functional for a while. It’s taped up and the entrance door is open for anyone to enter, guests or those will malicious intent. On our second stay, the keypad worked. Then a guest wrecked the self close mechanism and the door was kaput for a while.
Second stay? Yes, we booked one stay and a relative booked the other. Both non refundable so we didn’t want to lose hundreds of pounds/euros/dollars. We did learn one thing: this place is not only a fire hazard, it is also a security hole. The front door code and room code didn’t change between stays! This means anyone that has stayed in your room previously could access the property and your room. The fire detector still had paper stuffed into it.
The air conditioner filters were thick with dust.
The bathroom sink doesn’t drain quickly.
Sound issues. As per reviews on booking.com, you can hear guests talking or opening doors. Every night there are loud ‘guests’ shouting, slamming doors. Even heavy sleepers will have restless nights.
The blinds on the windows are mangled, potential privacy issue as the blinds cannot be closed in the mangled sections.
