An Excellent Stay

We had yet another excellent stay at Peebles Hydro hotel. Staff are lovely, the room was spotless with an amazing view and the food and leisure facilities are all very good. 2 or 3 minor issues e.g. having to wait some time to have fresh fruit, yoghurt and berry compote replenished and cool cappuccinos which needed to be heated up. Would highly recommend and we will definitely return.

Needing an upgrade

We booked in for Dinner bed and breakfast and the Gin Experience (this was superb)
We had a nice room looking out over the front of the hotel . The room is very quiet and we do not hear any noises at night . We had a good nights sleep .
The bathroom had a shower curtain which makes it look shabby .
The whole hotel is needing un upgrade badly. There is plenty of activities for young families with games room pool and tennis courts .
The hotel itself is very clean and tidy .
The Wifi for hotel guests is not connected to the internet !!
I can go to Costa and for the price of a latte watch a netflix film .
The hotel is living on past glories and needs dragged into the present day .
For our meal at night we took the ribeye steaks and were so glad that they preovided us with a sharp knife !
The staff were excellent and could not fault them .

Leisure Pool & Spa

One of the best leisure/spa areas for relaxation and different experiences we have found in our 3 week travel trip around the Scottish 500 (on way back to Bedford)

Dissapointing - particularly given our fondness for this hotel group

The hotel was incredibly tired, the room was uncomfortably hot with the bathroom overlooked. The food was terrible and the work to improve the façade made the outside made it feel more like a building site.

Excellent hotel, already planning another visit!

Amazing hotel with plenty to keep the family entertained! Lovely grounds, and rooms a good size. Our family loved the pool and alpaca walk. The staff were all lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. Special shout out to Monika who helped arrange our Alpaca walk & Sam who facilitated our alpaca walk. Already planning our next visit!
