An awesome destination, warm people and hosts offering fabulous accommodation!

Owners Frank and Tanya Freeman are top hosts, with amazing insights. Their welcome, with a bowl of freshly picked sweet cherries, was a standout!
The location is great, the neat and clean Cape-Dutch style property and its idyllic garden setting with pool to match are most inviting.
Ceres (and Tulbagh) a must-see to any traveler, and Chantilly a real blessing - a compelling and comfortable place to stay.

Great host, amenities lacking

The Owner is very friendly and helpful and the pool area is lovely as well as the bedroom area. However the bathroom and kitchenette is sorely in need of an upgrade and modernising. Better towels and an additional improvement of the furniture would make the experience better.

The sweetest place.

What a wonderful place with wonderful hosts.
I really enjoyed my stay at Chantilly guesthouse. Old fashioned, but comfortable.
Spacious with everything you need to prepare your own meals. Rooms are above the main residence.
Highly recommended.

Great family stay in Ceres

The guesthouse is in a beautiful, tree-lined street with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. Close to the CBD, but still sufficiently quiet for an enjoyable, restful stay.
We were welcomed by (uncle) Frank, who was most helpful and interested in our well-being. It seems he will stop at nothing to make the stay as memorable as possible - a true gentleman.
The well-equipped kitchen ensured that we could prepare our dinner on the first night, and we enjoyed a braai the following night on a small, but well laid out braai area. There was enough wood for our use and comfortable outdoor furniture completed the setting. Most enjoyable!

Amazing one night

We arrived quite late and Frank kindly showed us to our room and showed us everything we needed to know. We went out for supper and had a fabulous night sleep in comfy beds. My son also loved his specially made bed in the rooms alcove. We prebooked breakfast which was tasty cereals and yogurt with fruit and cheese and then were served our eggs and bacon. Tania and Frank were kind enough that after zip-lining we could come back to the home to swim and relax in the garden after we had checked out so we could cool down before moving on. Very good value for money and we were very comfortable during our stay. Thank you kindly.
