A nice small guesthouse
I came here in February 2023. It's a small guesthouse, 50m away from the public ferry to Aswan. It's therefore 5 minutes away from the city center of Aswan, and in a nubian village at the same time. The view on the Nile and Ferial garden is very very nice.
The guesthouse itself is clean, has a kitchen. The room is confortable (don't forget to plug anti-mosquitos device !) and is kept by Abdelrahman, a nice man, always willing to help and speaking fairly English.

Authentic Nubian house stay
Basic guesthouse with shared toilet on the Elephantine island.
Generous breakfast serving. Room that faces the beautiful Nile river with sound of birds, chicken and sheeps in the morning.
Abdulrahmen and family is friendly. We communicated through WhatsApp even before arriving, giving trip suggestion and help arrange our tours to Abu Simbel and Philae Temple with early boat arrangement and breakfast prepared for us to go Abu Simbel. Need to take the boat to the Elephantine Island for egp5 per way.

Good guesthouse
We stayed 2 nights in bakar guesthouse. It is a family house with 3 rooms. 1 bathroom with toilet for all guest and family. You have to be aware of that and the fact that there are building new rooms in the second floor. The place was clean, the mother of Mohamed and abderahman was very kind. Welcome drink and doom. Breakfast was included in the price. Room was very Nice. I liked the place even if we have to discuss all the time To have a good price and not To High for excursion or room. Hospitality is not only selling excursion. It is also giving free information To the guest and share the good tips.

Good stay in Aswan
VERY VERY friendly hosts. Perfect location on the quiet island. The room is big with lots of natural light and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice, freshly cooked and all compatible with my vegan diet - as requested.
Very nice welcome drink and I was also offered dates after the dinner I had at the guesthouse.
I had dinner there twice. The food was delicious and come for 50 pounds for a vegan meal (portions could be more generous).
Lots of help in organising the day trip to Abu Simbel, which was very reasonably priced (50 for the boat in the morning to cross and 230 for the tour).
The host was super helpful with everything (helping me contact my felucca captain and all sorts of requests).
On the day I was leaving to Abu Simbel I was not given any form of takeaway breakfast - even if from other reviews I have read that other guests were not left without food (after all the breakfast IS included - I am not expecting a full breakfast but bread and fruit is always easy to arrange. There is only 1 toilet which is not only shared between the 3 guest rooms but also with all members of the family. This can be an issue because the wait can become longish.
The rooms and bathroom need more cleaning.

Great little guesthouse!
My husband and I stayed three nights there. The rooms are basic and the bathroom is shared, but the place is very clean and the environment is great!
The ferry is a minute away from the hotel and there is wi-fi in the rooms.
The family who runs the guesthouse is super nice, and Abdelrahman, the guy who looks after the guests, is the nicest person we met in Egypt.
He helped us to organise trips and ferry, gave us take away breakfast when our tour was too early and was available every time we needed him.
We definitely recommend this place!!
