Brilliant location

Located within the structure of the ancient palace and a few metres from the Golden Gate this three bedroom hotel could hardly be bettered as a base for exploring Diocletian’s Palace and the Riva. The 50 plus steps up a spiral staircase to the rooms are daunting at first but this septuagenarian soon got used to them, and the ever helpful owner was great with carrying heavy luggage up and down. The rooms are not luxurious but mine was very comfortable. I am not sure if there was a breakfast arrangement while I was there. Would happily book in again.

Dissapointed!

Looks nothing like the picture, house keeping non existent! Free parking on the road, which is misleading as we booked because of the parking, cost us extra £50. And we had to plan our holiday on using the car to save these charges! No mirror in the room apart from bathroom! Was not an apartment by any means, shower would only spray In the corner and wouldn’t fix ohh and was ice cold! Defornately not 4 stars! And really misleading! If they marketed it right it would have been fine but don’t lie to your customers! Be honest!

Extremely disappointing

So there is no reception desk here, so to check in you have to email them on their email address on their website. They ended up just leaving our key in a desk in the hall way for us. It advertises free parking, but this is free street parking. We had a car with a €1500 excess so we weren’t comfortable leaving it on a narrow road when every other car had a scratch or a bump in it. Also whilst we were there we saw no street parking anyway. It ended up costing us £50 for 3 nights and this was even when we took the car out for 10 hours on the 2 full days we were there.
Also says there will be daily housekeeping. We had none. We had the same towels for 3 nights. On the last night I had a cold shower as well. There is no one to talk to about this either as there is no reception desk. I emailed the lady I spoke to about check in about my disappointment and I’ve had no response. I therefore complained to hotels.com but the hotel refused to offer any compensation. It is apparently 4 star, I’d say maybe 2?? There was no iron in the room or a long mirror, only a portrait mirror in the cupboard size toilet.
The only positive to this place is the location to all the sites in Split.
Be wary if you want to book here if you have a car.
In my opinion this is false advertisement from the hotel but neither the hotel or hotels.com really care about that so I’m gonna say it here instead!!
DONT BOOK TO STAY HERE!!!!!

Great location, well equipped apartment

Stayed 7 - 10th June 2018. Loved this apartment, everything provided - towels, toiletries, kitchen stuff etc so nothing extra to buy. Full cooking facilities, kitchen area partitioned away from living area. Good size comfortable room. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, providing information about the area. We were 5 minutes walk into the main areas, just through the car park and you come to the vibrant market that seems to open daily. There are also a couple of nice bars en route which were nice to call into on the way back from town. After the market was the main area of Split that we wanted to see, the Diocletian Palace, and the Riva, promenade areas. Would recommend this accommodation. Good value for money too.

Greta location

Situated very close to the old town the location couldn't be better. There is a large (but expensive car park next to the rooms). Street parking is free but very frustrating, we had to park far away each day and walk. The room had the basics, air con, fridge etc. It was clean and comfy. The beds are metal and therefore when you turn over they squeak very loudly. The room layout was odd with twin beds facing each other. It was also quite cramped however for a main city it was very good value.
