Fantastic Lobster
We are regulars to Cini but we decided on a mid-week visit for Lobster and we were not disappointed. We started with Focaccia nice and thin crust with rosemary and sea salt, very tasty and then all four of us had the lobster with spaghetti and fresh tomatoes, what a treat, really fresh, cooked to perfection by Andrea. The waiting staff are brilliant, very attentive and service with a smile. Great job

Not value for money
On first sight the surroundings are pleasant and the open Kitchen is pleasing to see. However, we didn’t have the greatest server, in fact she was a little rude. We also had to ask what the specials were.
While the food tasted nice there wasn’t enough of it to warrant the high prices. I honestly found the whole experience extremely disappointing and would not recommend. I would go as far as to say we felt completely ripped off when we left.

Disappointing portion size and prices!!!
Met up with friends here who were over from California. The restaurant looks beautiful, but we were disappointed with the portion size. The olives were delicious, but 4 small pieces of bread to accompany the balsamic vinegar and olive oil is not enough. The main meals were very pricey, as you needed to really order extra side dishes, but this wasn’t made clear ( the portion size was too small for a main meal). My husband ordered the chicken with spaghetti, there was literally like 6 strands of spaghetti!!!! We were charged for room temperature table water out the tap over £4 !!!! The desserts were nice but again too small!!! We were a party of 4 and were charged an additional eye watering £24 in service….. 12% apparently!!!!!! I think in the current climate with cost of living going up this is extortionate. Service charges for large parties maybe, but I feel it should be up to the discretion of the diners of how much they want to pay for service…. Which we would have gladly paid in cash!!!!! Our friends live in LA so didn’t mind the high service charge as much, but for UK residents where tips are nice but not customary, I think this needs to be rethought Cini. Will I go back or recommend to friends or family??? Only if portion sizes are increased and service charges are scrapped. I went home disappointed, poor and hungry!!!!

Please let me explain so people can hear the other side of the story.
I’m glad that your guests were happy for you choosing us the take them out ,
The water , I’m afraid is only £1,00 and free thereafter, that will cover the cost of ; the water, that is not free, the filter system we have in place, the maintenance of the machine, the ice, the lemon, the staff that will serve the water, the dishwasher running costs to clean glasses and the bottle . The bread with the olives is the right quantity for two people to share not Four I’m afraid.
The chicken is actually served with zucchini’s spaghetti they are served as a nest on the bottom of the plate to avoid the supreme to move around and to give a little crunch to the dish they not meant to be side order, the chicken supreme is between 170 to 200 gr.
I think that’s a very generous portion.
Our pasta dishes are of minimum 120gr plus the sauce and ingredients, again that makes a large portion on the pasta portion in certain restaurants.
Regarding the service charge ; that’s another story all together!
The staff need those money to pay petrol, insurance, study, holidays drink, as every humane that works, rest sure it goes to all the team at Cini , inclusive of Kp, chefs, cleaners and waiting staff.
And let’s not talk about food and utility costs……

Good Food ,
wonderful night out ,the food was great, and the staff are so friendly which makes you feel at home ,you can also see into the kitchens so you know there is nothing going on behind closed doors ,I would recommend this restaurant to anyone

AVOID AVOID AVOID
So we went here for the first time on a double date. Our table was booked for 7pm our friends were running late because they had a family emergency regarding their children and explained this after them
asking where the rest of the party were after 20mins.
When we got to 8:10 my partner went to the WC and that’s when an older blonder lady came over and asked me to confirm the time the rest of the party
were joining us and I replied with ‘they will be here within 10 minutes’ I totally understand why they were asking I don’t have a problem with that as yes they
were exceptionally late!! I politely discussed the situation as why they were running late thinking she would understand and she rolled her eyes and said
‘well we need the table back by 9pm’ then she walked off. This is not professional and was not our fault!!! We also weren’t told when we booked that
we had a time slot for the table and I’d like to make that clear hence why we booked there becauSe it was the only restaurant that didn’t state that you’d
only got the table for a certain amount of time.
We ordered our food .. it arrived pretty quickly and I won’t slate that but I ordered the asparagus risotto,
my partner isn’t very exoctic and he ordered a margarita pizza.. the other couple ordered two pasta dishes and I will say they made all dishes come
out almost within the same time because we ordered ours before the other couple arrived. The only dish Edible was the margarita pizza .. the pea and
asparagus risotto tasted like a spoon full of cooked frozen peas even with more than a handful of grated Parmasan and salt and pepper added.. the two pasta
dishes one being shell fish smelt like gone of fish and if you eat fish enough you know when it’s off.. the spaghetti bolognese was no good either and was
a child size portion.
As they came over to take our plates they asked why we didn’t eat it all and if everything was ok as to
which we explained to the waiter about why we weren’t happy and hadn’t finished our meal they then sent a senior member over and she said ‘ do you
want to order another meal? ' we didnt as we wont happy.. wed all ordered something different so what was the point? It’s was all pretty bad. At this point we’d given up all hope and we requested the bill.. they did knock 3 meals of the bill but the customer service let the entire restaurant experience down Especially the lady that was sent over the resolve the situation as to why we didn’t want a replacement meal. As she cleared the plants she said under her breath ‘would we like a replacement meal (as did the previous waiter) and we replied with the same answer saying no she then muttered under her breath (no of of course you don’t) what did this mean? after all this time being worried about going Out and interacting with the public because of covid I was extremely looking forward to a night out. It was the first we’d booked to go to after a lengthy time as my partner suffers severely with asthma.
