Lovely place to stay in Cusco

The room is really big with a table in the bedroom and a sofa and an extra bed in the 'floor', thus it is more than reasonably priced. Mario and his family are very eager to make your stay an awesome one, providing helpful hints regarding sightseeing and restaurants. I would always stay there again although it is a 20 min walk to the city center.

Not recommendable for couples

Based on the high ratings on TripAdvisor we had high expectations of staying in this guesthouse. However, despite the very friendly people, our experience was not good. No water in the night (problem if you have to leave to MP) and far away from the city centre. Rooms are big and have 4 places to sleep, so maybe better for a family but for couples there are better places.

Wonderful place! Wonderful people!

This is a really great place! The room was actually two rooms and so it felt like having an own appartment. Everything was super clean and comfortable. Mario, the host, and his family are very nice people and do everything to make you feel at home. We had some nice conversations and Mario gave us many good advices for activities in the Cusco area. The guesthous is not in the center of the city but a 15-minute-walk brings you there. We liked that a lot because the center is quite touristic and that way we could experience a (very safe) residential area. And taxis are very cheap too.

The best travel experience for my mother.

My mother always wanted to go visit Cusco. So I provided all means necessary for her to have an amazing experience. My mom is a 68 year old lady who still possess an adventurous heart and soul.
From all the reviews she gave me from her experience at the Inca's citadel, she never stopped complementing how pampered she felt by all the staff from 8a Cusco Guest House. She loved her room, how clean and meticulously managed was everything there.
She was amazed by the level of care these people offered to her, to the point I end up calling personally to the owner to give him a big THANKS on behalf of my delighted mother.

Feels like home

Weary after 4 flights, I knew I made the right decision with my accommodation when I saw a gentle, smiling old man holding a sign with my name on it at the airport. A one night stay to get my bearings ended up as being my Cusco base for the week. The room was big, spacious & the bed on the perfect side of Marshmallow (soft, but firm enough for a perfect night sleep) The room is on the road side so there is some noise, but not too much. The breakfast is the usual fare of bread, ham & cheese, freshly squeezed orange juice & tea/coffee. Sitting in the dining room you truly feel like you're in your grandparents. So welcoming & comfortable. The guesthouse is about a 15min walk from the main historical centre (4s taxi fare) The most magical part about 8a, is the entire Ochoa Family - they really make you feel at home & will do everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I've made friends for life & without hesitation highly recommend Ochoa Guess house to everyone.
