Recommended.

Very friendly people. Courteous, polite, just nice.
We arrived with our two children for a long weekend.
All very straightforward. Extra wishes were also no problem.
The house itself is old, but everything is clean and tidy. The dining room and bar are quaint and invite you to hang out comfortably. The beer garden is also very nice. There is also a great conservatory.
Within walking distance of the lake is about ten minutes. Also the Schondorf beach resort and the mini golf course are very close.

Traditional inn

We had a brief but pleasant stay at the Pension, which is connected to the Restauration Schondorfer restaurant. It's a traditional setup in that the restaurant is downstairs, and the rooms are upstairs (no elevator). This means that the bar doubles as the reception desk. Service was friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable, but the bathroom was pretty small. The restaurant stayed open until 1 a.m., so it was a bit loud. The breakfast the next day was also set up in the bar/restaurant area and featured a big selection of the foods you would expect for a German Pension breakfast (rolls, meat, cheese, yogurt, cereal, etc.). We paid cash (again, at the bar) upon checking out. The traditional atmosphere of the Pension was fitting for visiting such a lovely little Bavarian town.

A bit pricey for what you get !

The pension is right over the restaurant.
Location is very close to railway-station. Right in the middle of that tiny little village.
Parking space right opposite to it.
The rooms are quite big. And rather clean.
Wifi works in the room.
A bit unfortunate is the fact that you have to go through the restaurant to get to your room.
No big points to blame. But in this price level, i do expect more !
Specially in some essential details.
Exemple : In the shower there is absolutely no opportunity to deposit your soap !
Means keep it permanently in your hand or drop it to the shower ground !
Small thing, but pretty much annoying in the moment.
Ok in a budget place...but not really in the prize category they play.
Same for the pillows. Real feathers are not convenient for everyone. Ask allergic people...
And i was looking for the binoculars to see anything on that miniature flat-screen mounted on the wall, half a mile from bed.
Two options for me to get a higher ranking :
Downgrad your prize or upgrade the details in your rooms !
OK for one night if you pass by. For longer stay i would look rather around.

Wohlfühlfaktor groß

Sehr nettes Personal, während meiner 14 tägigen Fahrradreise habe ich nirgendwo
so gut gegessen, frische Speisen aus regionaler Herstellung! Gemütliche Atmosphäre, Preis-Leistung stimmt, kleines TV-Problem wurde trotz laufendem Restaurantbetrieg schnell gelöst. Harmonie im Team. Ich bin sehr zufrieden.

Sensationelles Essen, freundliches Personal, entspannte Atmosphäre - immer wieder gerne!
Wir sind schon öfter im Schondorfer beim Essen gewesen und waren immer begeistert.
Gutes Essen, freundliche Bedingungen und Inhaber… passt einfach rundherum!
