Great for hiking with a dog

I stayed one night at the guesthouse for hiking with my dog. I arrived before check-in time, but was able to park my car on the on-site parking lot without any problems and start the hike from the house. The connection to hiking trails is excellent. I walked to the Hornisgrinde and back. At the end of the hike, we were warmly welcomed at the guesthouse by two lovely hosts, even with a treat for the dog in the room. There was also a small corner with snacks and drinks, which was convenient for me because I didn't feel like walking anywhere else :-) The room was simply furnished but in great shape and had everything you need. I slept very well. The breakfast the next morning was also very good. The nice chat with the host was also a great start to the day. I look forward to my next visit and thank you for the hospitality.

Very bad experience

Hotel needing a major refresh, including bedding. Minimalist bathroom, worn and stained carpet, bad smell. Moreover, arriving during the heatwave, we received an overheated room with no means to cool it down (a fan would have been welcome) and the night was terribly exhausting.
Hearty breakfast but lacking in quality, except for the orange juice. Correct reception but with a host who is difficult to understand as he speaks mostly English. The only positive point: life from the terrace

Another great walking holiday

Just got back from my 7th visit to Pension Williams, the first for my sister in law who came with me. It's brilliant for walking, there are so many well signed routes. The Konus card means that you can travel for free anywhere in the Blackforest so it's easy to hop on a bus or train to visit places of interest. We took a bus up to Mummelsee and walked back, took a trip to Baden Baden to visit the spa, walked down the valley and caught the train back and visited Freiburg on our way back to Basel airport all without worrying about having to buy tickets. Comfortable bed for a good nights sleep, and excellent breakfast to set us up for the day meant we had a brilliant holiday.

Great hotel and perfect location

This hotel was recommended to me by motorcycle friends due to its proximity to the B500 road in the Black Forest.
The hotel was excellent, really enjoyed my 2 nights here. Really quiet and super comfy beds. Dave & Angela are excellent hosts and make you feel so welcome.

David & Angela are perfect hosts great knowledge of the area bar which keeps hubby happy fabulous views ,very clean rooms & great
continental breakfast can not fault anything lots to see & do we will be back .
