Highly recommended

Easy booking directly with the hotel, is cheaper than via portals. Reception very friendly, but up to 200 euros cash only. We had a room facing the big street, yet very quiet with the windows closed. Everything very clean, bathroom with shower very neat, almost new. Beds were not slack, we slept well. Breakfast was plentiful. Motorway connection and public transport to the city center very close. Overall absolutely recommended.

Unfriendly, uncooperative - cheekiness

We wanted to go to Cologne for a concert which unfortunately was cancelled, so I asked to postpone the booking. The person on the phone was more than rude and referred me to booking.com to postpone the booking, I also used this and tried to move the reservation to the new date of the concert. All new travel dates (March-April) were rejected, I wrote to the hotel asking when a postponement would be possible. They didn't read the message properly and wrote me back about parking, even though I hadn't asked for it. In the end, I had to cancel the hotel completely (for a fee).
Rarely experienced such uncooperative, unfriendly and brash service.
Too bad I can't award 0 stars.

Never again! (A warning to anyone considering booking here)

From the dishonest entry on the booking portal to the absolute frightener of a receptionist, the first impression was already disastrous. The fact that you can reserve with a credit card, but can only pay expenses from €200 and this is only communicated to you by email after the reservation has been made is also dubious and a matter for the tax office. The room itself was pleasant, although the TV offered a minimal program selection that did not even include ARD. The room with balcony gave us a wasp plague; the balcony, which was meant for us to smoke, could thus only be used after dark to avoid a potential sting.
From the absence of air conditioning to the stained carpets in the room and in the hallway to pictures with broken glass in the corridors and staff that was incredibly rude, the operators of these currently substandard hangouts should reconsider their activity in the hospitality industry, as with the current attitude they are on the fastest way to driving the proverbial cart to the wall. I wish that I could wish this company all the best without having to lie, but just the snazzy "welcome" of the cow at the reception prompts me to wish this company bankruptcy soon.

Avoid This Hotel – Staff Don’t Care About Guest Safety

During my stay at this Hotel two gold rings were stolen from my room. Shockingly, the hotel has no security cameras, and the staff couldn’t care less. They refused to help in any meaningful way, simply telling me to deal with the police on my own. Completely unacceptable if you value your belongings and basic safety, stay far away from this place!

Okay for an overnight stay

The room itself was clean, but there were stains and burn marks on the curtain. The toilet seat was missing in the tiny bathroom, where you couldn't even open the door all the way. Despite asking several times, none was installed during our stay.
Okay for just an overnight stay, but nothing more.
