Excellent location

We stayed here for 3 nights to visit the Christmas markets, the location is very good. We were walking distance from the cathedral and Christmas markets. Our room had a lovely view of the river.
The nearest underground station is heumarkt. Colognes main train station Köln hbf was also only a 15 min walk along the river side. Trains from here to the airport cost €3.70.
All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. We had breakfast one morning of our stay which was nice and plenty of choice.
Our room was modern and comfortable. We had a kettle, coffee maker and a fridge which also had a minibar.
I would stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

Earned one more star!

Great hotel. Family business and all super nice and accommodating.
Were there for the fair and I immediately felt really comfortable there.
Breakfast was also great!
Very happy to come back!

Room was clean, although bedding had hole in fitted sheet, there was a kettle and coffee maker with pods, room was reasonable quiet from traffic noise as at back of hotel.

Very pleasant stay in this charming hotel

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Allegro. The staff is truly lovely, welcoming, attentive, and always happy to help. The hotel is very clean and has a cozy, almost old-world charm that makes it feel much more personal than a big, standard hotel chain.
We also really enjoyed the new bar. We had cocktails there, and they were great; a very nice addition and a perfect way to end the day. The location is also convenient, making it easy to get around.
There were just a few small downsides. The curtains are quite transparent and there are no blackout blinds, so the room gets bright very early in the morning. The bed was also a bit too soft for our taste, and the water pressure in the shower was quite low.
That said, these are minor points compared to the overall experience. A charming hotel with friendly staff and a great atmosphere!

Really lovely family run hotel. Very attentive staff. Clean and tidy. Quiet. Really nice bar and the staff were always very accommodating. Great location.
