A lovely retreat in a quiet village

We absolutely loved our stay at Hof Kranichstein. Katharina did everything she could to make it a comfortable stay for us. We arrived when the reception was closed but she kindly left the keys in the safe outside so we were able to enter when we arrived. Our room was bright, immaculately clean and had a lovely balcony with views over the fields. The beds were very comfortable and we slept amazingly. Katharina provided us with breakfast, which was well worth the 9,50€ each. As we were the only guests we had the dining room to ourselves and the table was prepared with a huge variety of meats, cheeses, spreads, bread and coffee. We will recommend to anyone we know visiting Rügen Island

Disregard for privacy by operator

Because the car is on a parking space not belonging to the room, the operator feels diligent in the morning to enter the sleeping area via the terrace door to ask the guests still lying in their beds to re-park the vehicle. The suggestion of excessively narrow routes was dismissed in the puffy tone and appropriate volume, that one then had to park his vehicle on the unpaved country road. Compensation for early departure was only provided by the booking agency. The operator took no responsibility and did not apologize.

A real little gem on Rügen!

We only needed a place to stay the night before we catched the ferry, but whish we could stay longer on this beautiful island and this warm, welcoming, peaceful and charming place in. Big rooms, comfy beds and beautiful view to wake up too. Ideal to bring bikes. Unfortunately we don't have time for jacuzzi, yoga or massage, so we simply will have to come back!

Pension mit schlechtem Service

Völligst überteuerte Frühstückspension. Schlechter Service. Wird mit Frühstücksbuffet beworben-was nicht der Wahrheit entspricht. Es gibt eine Frühstücksauswahl, was der Gast vorher umständlich auf einen Zettel auszufüllen hat! Betreiber sind unfreundlich. Das Yoga -Angebot findet im ausgebauten Keller statt. Die Zimmer sind in die Jahre gekommen, Flecken auf dem Teppich, Löcher im Moskitonetz. Kein WLAN, kein vernünftiger Anschluß an das öffentliche Verkehsnetz. Die Bilder stimmen auch nicht- die Pension steht im Ort- nicht etwa auf einer grünen Wiese. Keinerlei Service, wie etwa Wasser oder Tee. Wer dort einen Yoga Urlaub machen möchte ist schlecht beraten!

Nette Unterkunft

Wir haben hier zwei schöne Tage verbracht und wurden freundliche Empfangen! Das Frühstück war klein aber ausreichend! Für Ausflüge haben wir tolle Anregungen erhalten! Die Lage ist ruhig! Gern wieder!
