Perfect place to stay

The Monk and tipster was ideally located for us and our trip to Knebworth, pleasant atmosphere and relaxed environment.
The staff were really helpful very polite and made us feel very welcome.
There were 8 of us in our party split over 5 rooms and they were all exactly what we needed, very clean and tidy with low noise levels, each with its own bathroom.
Great value for money, especially with the free WIFI and excellent service.

TERRIBLE

Disappointed. Booked this for F1 weekend, said they were new to booking.com. Just had cancellation notice, unable to accommodate booking. Gone back on, room still available now for £2400 for one night.

Hi, we are disappointed to hear you have had a negative experience. Upon looking at our channel manger we do not have a booking that has been cancelled our end. We had an issue on booking.com where there was multiple adverts for our pub that were not affiliated with us and as a result we requested booking.com have them removed from their website. Having looked on booking.com it does look like they have now been removed, and can only assume that your booking was on one of these false adverts and the booking has been cancelled when this has been removed. For the F1 weekend we do have some availability, and these are advertised at the same price they have always been advertised, we have not altered the price for this weekend since setting up on booking.com.

Stay at Monk and Tipster

Tried the Monk and Tipster under new management and found it to be spectacular, friendly Bar staff , good atmosphere and live bands featuring regularly . the Rooms had been redone and we wonderful , very clean and hygienic. would recommend to anyone
