Early check-in. Smooth process. This wasn't quite what I expected. Yes it's normally student accomodation but if rented out too the general public then having a TV in the room would have been a MUST. And should have been also. The common room is more catered too the younger student population not older people staying so that was the only disappointment. But other than that, the studio was lovely.

Arrival was swift. However when I got to the room it was so incredibly hot. Must have been at least 37 centigrade. The windows barely opened and a fan moved the hot air around.
The front desk both appreciated and admitted the heat but the whole building was like that.
That means they knew in advanced that in the UK summer the room is unusable but waited for me to attempt it so they could penalise me 2 nights stay.
Avoid in the summer months

To be fair to this place it’s not a hotel, it’s student accommodation and it’s not their fault that I stayed there during a heatwave. The check in process involves having to submit ID documentation and a selfie. Despite having done this my friend was told on arrival that it hadn’t been done and his room hadn’t been authorised. This was resolved by the check in staff. The rooms are very basic which is fair enough for the price. There is no air con or fans available which was an issue in 37o temperatures, particularly as the windows only open a couple of inches and the stays can’t be bypassed
The shower is okay though you are only provided with a hand towel, not a bath towel
The location is very central and consequently very noisy bearing in mind the necessity to have the windows open

The room was dirty including the ‘clean’ bedding which was hairy. The bed was built by Ikea flat pack and someone’s hopes and dreams which did not come true - it creaked with every move!
The room was spacious but what’s the point! It was hot with limited windows to open because of H&S but I had to prop one open with a spoon as the restrictor was broken. Only one set of towels despite the booking being for 2 people. The location is heart of city centre which was perfect except for noise until 3am from Nottinghams social scene, then the council decided to drill the tram line at 6am! The view was amazing though being on the 6th floor. Not good value for money even though I expected the basics being student accommodation.
