Perfect stay in gorgeous Devizes

Excellent stay. Comfortable room with a lovely courtyard to sit in. Right in the main square with other pubs and restaurants around. Close to canal for lovely walks and good bus links to other areas. Pub was lovely and friendly but closed at 8pm which was fine by me as plenty of other places to get a drink and it made sure my room was quiet and gave me and other people staying private use of the gorgeous courtyard...just perfect. Good price for the nights stay. Does not offer breakfast but thats ok. Plenty of other places nearby do. Highly recommended

Xmas Lunch in January - but just as festive!

This is our second year of having our team xmas lunch at The Pelican. We will be returning for a third, fourth, five....
A team of 21 people with varying dietary requirements, and every single meal was perfection. A good home cooked meal, all piping hot when brought to the table, the hosts were attentive and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Despite it being a xmas lunch in January, the tables were beautifully set out with decorations. Sarah-Jane and the team totally deserve the highest praise for being the hosts with the most!!

A gem of a place.

We were lucky enough to visit this lovely homely place and had a really enjoyable Sunday lunch and the dessert was one of the best that I had finished a meal with. The staff are so friendly and the grandmother was really friendly and made you feel so welcome. I highly recommend if you are in the area to visit and enjoy the hospitality and food. We dine out quite a few times especially for Sunday lunch and this was one of the best, thank you....

Great place to eat and drink

was looking for some were to have a light lunch and told go to the pelican Inn on the market Square it is a lovely place staff are lovely food great and will go again thank you for a lovely lunch will be taking the family on Sunday
