Lovely
When I arrived at hotel,I was surprised by the first experience, which gave me good feeling about a place,the location,bed was really comfortable, afterwards guidance by the receptionist really help me to safe a time.Will back for sure next year.

Horrible never again dead
Never seen anything like it the room was like a loft the stairs was like ladders I explained about a injury still sent me to 3rd floor decided to long it off and re book elsewhere location ok but the rest id avoid if I was U

Sweat box
Stayed here for 3 nights. First they over sold the room so told us we only booked for 6 and not 7 so one of the group had to book a 700 euro hotel for the 3 nights down the road!! Hostel had very steep and tight stairs, shower was cold to hot every few seconds, beds were fine all bunk beds. Couldn’t get the WiFi to connect and the rooms were very hot with lots of street noise! Coffee shop under the hostel which had some undesirable crowds and a guy who told you move on every time you left the hostel even if waiting for somebody to come down from the room. 2 Indian lads in with us but they were fine apart from the occasional waking up to one of them looking at you. Ok for people who just want somewhere to sleep for a few hours but not the best quality wise. Good central location

Never a agin
I would rate this a -5 if I could, it was an absolute dive! I’d probably have rather been homeless! The rooms are very cramped, the beds are very small and extremely uncomfortable! The bathroom is very small and impractical! Awful hostel I will certainly not be returning! For those who are deciding to come here as it’s cheap please don’t, it’s not worth it

Never again!
So, i have traveled a lot, not extreme but a lot. I have visited places hotels and i have worked in some cases in the gastronomy, sth like 10 years. And i have been in the military corp where we had to share our room with 40 men. Something like this, Hostel Utopia, i have never encountered. I mean there is not only that our room where overbooked and we had to check in in another building 400m from where we were supposed to, or that the smell from the toilette and the drainage, even in our room, was so penetrating that we had to sleep with the windows open, or the pasta we have found under the bed, or the bed and the mattress that was full of holes and not even white but yellow from the filthiness, not even that we where supposed to have our private toilette which we didn‘t have and had to share it with another room, but people what they charged us for this room I would have never paid if I knew what was waiting for me. Better on the road, you don’t expect to be clean and smell free but you can easily avoid diseases. The good part is that I have loved Amsterdam despite the hostel.
