Offensive and racist encounter with the owner
The hotel location was good. However, our room was very small; there was no AC or fan even though the heat was unbearable; and the generator for the bathroom didn’t work often meaning we had to use the bathroom or shower in pitch black darkness. The owner made offensive and racist comments about more than one group of people and insisted on sharing his political beliefs which are largely anti- Palestinian and Islamaphobic. I tried not to allow the disappointment of such an encounter with the owner who made remarks about the people from the Gulf who visited his hotel get in the way of enjoying the beauty of such a magical place. I am writing this because of how upsetting this experience with him was hoping that he will not repeat such an encounter with anyone else.
